Born in the Piedmont city of Novara, this distinct Italian alcoholic liqueur is made from the infusion of herbs and fruit in alcohol and water. It’s an acquired taste for sure, but it’s ever-present in Italy. Most Italian liqueurs are based on age-old domestic recipes using only the ingredients on hand.
