Which sea lies to the east of the Greek mainland?

Greece is bordered to the east by the Aegean Sea to the south by the Mediterranean Sea and to the west by the Ionian Sea. Greece is located in the Northern Hemisphere and is a part of the European continent. It shares its eastern borders with Turkey and its northern borders with Albania North Macedonia and Bulgaria. However, most of the country’s boundaries are surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea.
